This historical account is written to the best of the knowledge and information that could be gathered by the Gilbert Historical Committee. Information was gathered from newspaper articles, written recollections and from interviews with contributors. If additional information is received we will consider writing a 2nd edition to our history. We realize that we cannot gather 100 years of information in one year. Remember that we are all a part of yesterday, today and tomorrow’s history. Any information that you may have is very important in preserving our heritage.
